2002 Five Ashes Reserve Chardonnay
The Five Ashes Reserve range comprises very small parcels of selected fruit and selected barrels from the Five Ashes vineyard which are carefully vinified to ensure superior structure and intense varietal characters with longer term cellaring potential.
The first vintage in 2001 received a gold medal at the 2002 Margaret River Wine Show and was listed in James Hallidays best chardonnays in Australia.

Straw YellowBouquet:
Complex aromas of cashew, melon and butterscotch are resting on firm charred vanillin oak needing at least a year of bottle maturation to begin to marry.Palate:
The palate is restrained initially but opens up with amazing depth and volume in the middle to back palate with an appealing oiliness and seamless natural acidity. The length of flavour of this wine is typical for the Five Ashes Series – again pushing the 30 second to one minute linger.Source:
